£60 later.....

Well, what a way to spend my birthday by having my last injection yesterday - yellow fever - a real bargain at only £45 but better safe than sorry. Wait what's that? I'm not even going to any yellow fever danger areas? Then why have I just paid that much for a jab I don't really need - basically just need the certificate to enter Ecuador from Peru! Yay! Now, today is probably just paranoia, but feel like I'm dying - sore throat, everything hurts, runny nose and I'm sooooo cold!
Then on top of that went to pick up my malaria tablets for £15 after being charged £2, by the only ATM in Wing, to actually get the money out. But it's all worth it in the long run ..... oh yeah not actually going to any Malaria areas = Plan B/just in case.
Then to really put the icing on the cake the scary travel nurse who did my yellow fever jab told me that my travel nurse was wrong and I should have also had Hep B course of 3 jabs for the eventuality of severe injury, blood transfusion and resulting Hep B! Wooo, as if I didn't have enough to worry about! ;)
